How did G.  get her name?
Nancy wrote: "Researching Beatniks led me to Dobie Gillis which I watched without fail in the late 50’s early 60’s. The beatnik character was Maynard G. Krebs. Here is the excerpt I found: "Maynard lived in his own world with its own twisted logic. His name was also illogical, the "G." stood for Walter. According to the show's creator, Maynard was named after his Aunt Walter who was married to his Uncle Edith." Nancy could not overlook the symbolic reference to Walter, her beloved mastiff and heart dog - thus G. was christened.

Career Highlights
CONFORMATION:
Jane appears to be quite slow to mature. We do not expect to get her out until she is closer to 3 years of age. She did have fun in her baby UCI classes and the judges were very complimentary.
LURE COURSING:
Jane WOWS them in Dallas at her National debut going BOB/BIF at the Nationals ASFA trial.  In only one trial she ends the year tied as #10 in the top 25 ASFA.

On an apparent roll, Jane takes back to back 5pt AKC majors in her first AKC trials.  Two weeks later she wins it all again with another 5 points for her AKC Field Champion.  Read more here.
RALLY:
Jane debuts in Rally Novice at the 2008 National Specialty and gets her first leg and a first place.  She finishes up her title with placements.
AGILITY:
Jane has started competetive agility.  She is just as fast as her mama Feigh though she seems to have better hearing.  She has a few novice legs at this time.

How did Jane get her name?
Katy's mom mentioned that she would not be too adverse to having a "grand" dog named after her. And since Katy has always liked her mom's middle name, Jane it is.
