Career Highlights
CONFORMATION:
Drew
earned his Am. Championship out of the bred-by exhibitor class with 3 major
wins. He is my first homebred Champion but certainly not my last.
LURE
COURSING:
Drew
finished his AKC FC with two 5pt, one 4pt and one 3pt major win.
He was not always the fastest but his follow was exemplary.
His
ASFA FCh was delayed somewhat when he was struck down with Valley Fever
which resulted in his right eye being surgically removed. That did
not stop Drew though - he finished the title and still runs when given
the opportunity.
OBEDIENCE:
Drew
is a Specialty High in Trial winner - my second basenji to win this honor.
He is also the winner of multiple placements for his hard work in the Novice
and Open rings. Drew's highest score was a 196.5 - good for a 1st
placement over 24 all breed entries. This was my highest AKC
score; until Feigh broke the record a few months later.
Much
like his dam did in 1998, Drew finished the 2004 season as #1 obedience
basenji and #8 Hound in the Nation as per the Delaney System.
AGILITY:
Drew
has once again made basenji history. The first as the only basenji
to ever qualify for AKC National Agility Championship in 2009, which he
did again in 2010 AND 2011. He
is also the first basenji to earn 20 double qualifiers for the breed's first
PAX title! In early 2012 he went on to earn the breed's first PACH title
- the Preferred Agility Championship title.
RALLY:
Drew
earned multiple placements enroute to his RE title. He has one leg
towards his RAE title (out of one attempt), with a perfect score of 200.
